All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/bedford/ ________________________________________________ Bedford County, Pennsylvania Deed Book B, Page 178-179 Dated July 1785, Recorded JOSEPH KELLY TO CHRISTIAN INCHMAN (TUCHMAN) This Indenture made the (blank) day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty five Between JOSEPH KELLY of Cumberland Valley Township in the County of Bedford and State of Pennsylvania, Yeoman of one part, and CHRISTIAN INCHMAN of Frederick County and State of Maryland Yeoman of the other part, Witnesseth that the said JOSEPH KELLY for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and twenty five pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania to him the said JOSEPH KELLY in hand paid by the said CHRISTIAN INCHMAN at or before the Ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said CHRISTIAN INCHMAN his heirs and assigns forever acquitted and discharged by these presents I have granted, bargained and sold, assigned, released and confirmed, And by these presents. I Do grant, bargain, sell assign, release and confirm unto the said CHRISTIAN INCHMAN his heirs and assigns Three hundred and fifty (350) acres of land on the waters of Everts Creek Including JOHN STALERS improvements and joining ADAM McCARTYs place or the place or Plantation known by the name of McCARTY's Place {It being the same plantation or tract of land which GEORGE WOODS by his Bill of Sale duly executed bearing date the Twenty fifty day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy did transfer assign and make over unto the said JOSEPH KELLY his heirs and assigns for the consideration therein mentioned as in and the said receipted Bill of Sale reference thereto being had will more fully and at large appear} Together with all and singular the houses outhouses, barns, stables, orchards gardens, fences, woods, ways, water, water courses, rights privileges Hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the same Plantation or Tract of Land belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the above described Plantation or tract of land Hereditaments and premises with the appurtenances unto the said CHRISTIAN INCHMAN his heirs and assigns to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said CHRISTIAN INCHMAN his heirs and assigns forever Subject Nevertheless to the Proprietaries Purchase money interest and Quitrents now due or that may hereafter become due to the Chief Lord or lords of the Fee thereof And the said JOSEPH KELLY for himself his heirs and assigns Do hereby Covenant grant and agree to and with the said CHRISTIAN INCHMAN his heirs and assigns there hereby bargained and sold premises and every part and parcel thereof unto the said CHRISTIAN INCHMAN his heirs and assigns and against him the said JOSEPH KELLY and his heirs and assigns and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof by from and under him or any of them the proprietaries only excepted shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
