Deed Indenture # 011843 Written: 16th October 1851 James KINTON, et al } To } Samuel S. Stuckey } This Indenture made the 16 day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred fifty-one between JAMES KINTON now or late of Harrison Township, Bedford County, State of Pennsylvania HUGH KINTON, FRANCES KINTON, REBECCA KINTON, and JAMES A. KINTON, Junior, children of the said JAMES KINTON and ELIZABETH his wife late to be ELIZABETH WERTZ now deceased of the first part and Samuel S. Stuckey of Napier Township in said County of the other part. Witnessed that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty-six dollars and sixty-six and two thirds cents, heretofore paid to James KINTON aforesaid and Elizabeth his wife late now deceased aforesaid by the same part of the second part and of the further sum of one dollar by the said party of the second part at and before [unveiling?] and delivery of these present paid to each of the said parties of the first part the receipt of all which is hereby fully acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these present to grant, bargain, sell, align, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all the estate right, title, interest, property, claim and demand of them the said parties of the first part of into or and of the following message tenement and tract of land situate in Harrison Township, Bedford County aforesaid [?] and described as follows tract Beginning at apart thence by land of Thomas WERTZ South sixty- one degrees East one hhundred and seventy perches to a chestnut, thence by land of Nicholas Night North forty-two degrees, East eighty-nine perches to a large chestnut oak, thence by same North eighteen degrees, East eighty-two perches to a Hickory, thence North fourteen degrees, West one hundred and forty-four perches to a Black Oak, thence by [?] lands North sixty-four degrees, West thirty-two perches to a Spanish Oak, thence by land of Solomon ADAMS South thirty-five degrees, West one hundred and thirty-nine perches to a White Oak and thence by land of John McCormack, South twenty-nine and two- thirds degrees, West one hundred and twenty-six perches the Beginning containing two hundred and forty-four acres and the usual allowance of six per cent forwards [?] part of or tract of lands which the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by Patent bearing date the eniteenth [eighteenth] day of June in the year of our Lord, eighteen hundred and thirty-six (enrolled) in Patent Book H, Volume 36, Page 209, granted and conveyed unto George WERTZ in fee who being there of lawfully seized died intestate leaving issue Mary, Thomas, Elizabeth (wife of JAMES KINTON aforesaid), Rosannah and Araminta for whom the same by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania did descend. Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements, rights, privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining and to the reversions and remainders rents, issues and profits thereof. To have and to hold the said tract of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only purpose of the said part of the second part his heirs and assigns forever.
