Deed Indenture # 05018 Written: February 16, 1819 KINTON to KINTON. This Indenture made the sixteeth day of February, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and nineteen, Between THOMAS KINTON, Sen. Of the township of NAPIER in the County of Bedford and State of Pennsylvania and RACHEL his wife of the one part and JAMES KINTON of the township and County and State of aforesaid for the said THOMAS KINTON of the other part Witnessed that the said THOMAS KINTON, Sn. and RACHEL his wife for and in consideration of the sum of twenty dollars for acre to be paid to the said THOMAS KINTON and RACHEL his wife their heirs, executors, administrators or afsigns [assigns] in manner and form herein after mentioned have granted, bargained and sold and by these presence do grant, bargain and sell, align, enfeoff, released and confirm unto the said JAMES KINTON and to his heirs and afigns [assigns] a certain lot or piece of land situate lying and being in the aforesaid township and County of Bedford being part of the tract of land whereon the said THOMAS KINTON now resides. Beginning at a hickory near the great road thence forth sixty E. 112 perches to a white oak; thence South 36.West 102 perches thence North 74, West 85 perches to a stone thence North 44 West 42 perches to a white oak; thence north 45, East 124 perches to the place of Beginning containing seventy five acres and one hundred and fourteen perches with the usual allowance of six percent for roads. To Have and To Hold the said mepuage [?] or tenement and lot or piece of ground hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended for to be with the appurtenances unto the said JAMES KINTON his heirs and his heirs and afsigns [assigns] for ever provided never that if the above mentioned purchis [purchase] money should not be paid unto the said THOMAS KINTON, Sn. in his lifetime, then and in that [?] the sum of one thousand five hundred dollars or do much thereof as will be found coming to the said JAMES KINTON or allowed to him agreeable to the provisions of a will or the will of the said THOMAS KINTON, Sn. shall be allowed to the said JAMES KINTON his heirs or afsigns [assigns] him or them paying the over plufs [plus] if any to the heirs, executors or administrators of the said THOMAS KINTON, Sr. In Testimony hereof the said THOMAS KINTON and RACHEL his wife have hereunto set their hand and seals the day and year first above written. Personally came before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for the county aforesaid the within named THOMAS KINTON, Sn and RACHEL his wife and acknowledged the within Indenture to be their act and deed.
