KINTON, Son of Simon KINTON & Jane, Grandson of Thomas KINTON & Rachel CARSON Simon B. Kinton To Samuel S. Stuckey This Indenture the nineteeth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine. Between SIMON B. KINTON and SARAH his wife of NAPIER TOWNSHIP Bedford County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania of the one part and SAMUEL S. STUCKEY of Napier Township County of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania aforesaid of the other part. Whereas the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by Patents bearing date the 27th day of January A.D. 1827 and the 1st day of March A.D. 1827 for the consideration ? mentioned did grant and confirm unto SIMON KINTON deceased, two certain tracts of land situate in the township of Napier in the County of Bedford aforesaid, viz: A certain tract of land in NAPIER TOWNSHIP in said County by meates [?] and bounds in the same Patent particularly described containing two hundred and twenty nine acres and the allowance of six percent for roads with the appurtenances. Also one other tract of land situate in said township and County also by meles and bounds particularly described in Patent therein. Behold to him his heirs and afsigns [assigns] forever as in and by the said recited patent recorded in the Land Office in Patent Book H. Volume 24, page 196. Relation there unto had will more fully and at large appear. Now this Indenture Witnessed that the said SIMON B. KINTON and SARAH his wife for and in consideration of the sum of three thousand six hundred and fifty seven dollars and sixty nine cents lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid by the said SAMUEL S. STUCKEY at and before the unsealing and delivery hereof the receipt thereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and forever discharge the said SAMUEL S. STUCKEY his heirs, executors & administrators by these present do Ggrant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoffe, release and confirm unto the said SAMUEL S. STUCKEY and to his heirs and afsigns [assigns] all those certain mefsuage and parcels of land, to wit: A certain parcel of land situate as aforesaid Beginning at a post unto sixty seven degrees West one half perch to a post, thence North sixty degrees, West one hundred and thirty one perches to a post, thence South twenty six and hone half degrees, West one hundred and thirty one perches to a white oak, South thirty degrees, East two hundred and three perches to a white oak, North fifty two degrees, East twelve perches to a post, North forty two degrees, East fifty two perches to a white oak, North nineteen degrees, East one hundred and seventeen perches to a white oak, North fifty one degrees, East forty seven perches to a post, North forty four and one half degrees, West fifty three perches to a post the place of Beginning containing by actual measurement made by John Wolf according to an agreement of the parties one hundred eighty seven acres and ninety four perches and allowances of six per cent for roads to the same more or less being all that remaining part of the said patented tract of land calling for two hundred and twenty nine acres and allowances of six per cent for roads f c granted unto the said SIMON KINTON [?] fifty acres and the w [?] allowances having been heretofore sold and conveyed unto Simon Stuckey by the [?] aforesaid. The said tract so patented calling for ALLEN ROFS, ROBERT CALLENDER and JOHN [?] the other tract of land above mentioned also sold to said SAMUEL S. STUCKEY situate in NAPIER Township and County aforesaid Beginning at a white oak thence by Wills Mountian South thirty three degrees, West eight two perches to a gum, South one degree, East eight two perches and five tenths to a Chestnut oak, South thirty eight degrees, West one hundred and twenty perches to a White oak thence by land of THOMAS KINTON North fifty two degrees, West[ one perches to a White oak, thence by land of Simon Kinton North fifty two degrees, East seventy perches to a White oak, North forty two degrees, East fifty five perches to a White oak, North [?] [?] perches, East one hundred and fourteen perches to a White oak, North fifty two degrees [? ? ?] four perches to a post, and thence by land in name of Robert Callender, South [? ?] degrees, East forty three perches to the place of Beginning, containing eighty six acres and one half be the same more or less. Together with the usual allowances [?] and six per cent for roads [?] of which said tracts or parcels of land SIMON KINTON [? ? ?] seized in his demise as of fee leaving the said Simon grantor above named his heirs at [?]. [?] and singular other the houses, out houses, buildings, bars, water ways, [?] waters, [?] rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and [? ? ? ? ? ?] in any [?] appertaining being the whole of said tract where described remaining of the said fifty acres so sold of and conveyed to [?] said and being according to the courses and distances above described as [? ? ? ?]aforesaid and the said eight six acres and one half adjoining with the allowances aforesaid be the said parcels of land more or less then and with the revisions and remaining rents, issues and profits thereof. And also all the estate [? ? ? ?] and howsoever of in to or out of the same. To Have And To Hold [? ? ? ?] land to wi [?] One hundred and eight seven acres [? ? ? ?] allowances of six per cent for roads, according to [? ? ? ? ? ? ?] the other of eight six acres and one half as aforesaid with the allowances together with the hereditaments and [?] granted to the only [?] use and behalf of him the said SAMUEL S. STUCKEY his heirs and assigns, to the only [?] use benefit and [?] of the the said SAMUEL S. STUCKEY his heirs and afsigns forever. And the said SIMON B. KINTON and SARAH his wife for themselves their heirs executors and administrators do covenant promise, grant and agree to and with the said SAMUEL S. STUCKEY his heirs and afsigns by these present that they the said SIMON B. KINTON and SARAH his wife and their heirs the said above described messuages or tenements and tracts of land hereditaments and appurtenances hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said SAMUEL S. STUCKEY his heirs and assigns against them the said SIMON KINTON and SARAH his wife and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons lawfully claim in or to claim the same, shall and will warrant and forever defend by these present. In Witness whereof the said, SIMON B. KINTON and SARAH his wife here hereto with set their hands an seals the day and year first above written. Sealed and delivered by SIMON B. SARAH KINTON one of the grantors in the written instrument of writing mentioned and acknowledged the same to be her act and deed. The said SARAH having been by me first examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said instrument having been by me first fully made known to her did on such separate examination declared that she signed and sealed and as her act and deed delivered the same without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9th day of March, A.D. 1830.
