We, George Nixon and Rebecca my wife, both of the Township of Hopewell, co of Bedford and State of PA send greeting. Whereas Hugh Barclay of the town and county of Bedford and Commonwealth aforesaid Esquire by his indenture duly ____ bearing date the second day of January Seventeen hundred and eighty eight for the consideration therein mentioned, did grant bargain sell and confirm unto George Woods of the Town county and state aforesaid Esquire and to his heirs and assigns a certain piece of parcel of ground situate on the waters of Yellow Creek in the Township of Providence in the County of Bedford beginning at a white oak thence by William Niscon's (Nixon?)land North forty three degrees and a half degrees east, fifty six perches to a spanish oak thence east seventen perches to a white Oak tree, by George Elder's land north twenty and one half degrees east one hundred and twenty nine perches to a post, thence sixty seven perches to a post, thence south twenty and a half degrees west two hundred and ___ perches to a post thence by William Nixcon's (Nixon) land south seventy five degrees east one hundred and twenty four perches to the place of beginning containing two hundred acres with the ____ allowance____ ____ ____ ____ for it being one equal half part of a larger tract of land containing our ____ acres the allowance which was sold to the said Hugh Barclay and to his heirs and assigns by the Comisioners of the county of Bedford the twenty third day of June Seventeen hundred and eighty seven as by their deed recorded in the office or recording of deeds in or the county of Bedford in Book B, Page 429 ____ _____ these unto being part will more ___ and at large appear together with all one ____ and hereditaments and a apportuned to the said of land belonging or in any wise appertaining to note the same with the appertenances unto the said George Woods unto his heirs and assigns forever, ____ __ ____ ___ indenture, as recorded in the Recorder of Deeds in and for the County of Bedford _____ reference being hereunto had will more ____ ___ large appear and whereas the said George Woods by his hand did duly execute bearing date the seventeenth day of January seventeen hundred and eighty nine for the consideration therin mentioned did grant bargain sell and release unto said Rebecca Nixon to a certain William Nixon and to their heirs and assigns all that the first above described and bounded parcel or piece of ground situate on the Waters of Yellow Creek in the Township of Hopewell and in the county aforesaid containing two hundred acres of land with the usual said containing two hundred acres of land with the usual allowance of ___ for roads, Together with all singular the herditaments and appurtenaces to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to hold the name with the appurtenances unto the said Rebecca Nixon, William Nixon their heirs and assigns forever, as in and by the said Indenture as recordeded in the Office, for Recorder of Deeds in and for the county of Bedford in book C, page 288 reference being thereunto had will more by and at large appear __ on __ _Know ye that the said George Nixon and Rebecca my wife, for the consideration of natural love love and affection and the further sum of five shillings lawful money of the state of PA to us in hand paid by the said William Nixon before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt where of we do hereby and knowledge, have granted vary sold remis release and forever quit claim of by these presents We and each ___ for ourselves our heirs respectively do grnt bargain sell remise release and forever quit claim unto the said William Nixcon and to his heirs and assigns of in and to the one equal half part of that the above described and bounded two hundred acres of land situate on the Waters of Yellow Creek aforesaid Beginnin at a white oak thence, North forty three and a half degrees east fifty six perches to a Spanish oak thence east seventeen perches to a white oak, thence north twenty and an half degrees east forty eight perches to a post thence by land of us the said George Nixon and Rebecca Nixon north eighty four and an half degrees west, one hundred and twenty eight perches to a black oak and then thence north twenty and one half degrees east one hundred and twelve perches to a post, thence north twenty degrees and an half west thirty nine perches to a post on the division line of Lands of Hugh Barclay Esq thence south twenty and one half degrees west one hundred and eighty six perches to a post on a line of Lands of Hugh Barclay, thence along the said line south seventy five degrees east one hundred and twenty four perches to the place of the beginning Containing one hundred acres of the usual allowance of six? percent for roads. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances to the said one hundred acres of land belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the said one hundred acres of land with the appurteneeances and the said William Nixon and to his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said William Nixon and his heirs and assigns forever in Witness whereof the said George Nixon and Rebecca his wife have hereinto set their hands and affixed their seals the seventeenth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety five 1795 Sealed and Delivered in the George Nixon (seal) Presence of us William Thay(?) Rebecca Nixon (seal) Rebecca Nixon (her mark) Received on the day of the within written deed roll of the withi named William Nixon the sum of five shillings lawful money of Pennsylvania the full consideration money within mentioned Witness my hand the same day and Year Test: Wm Thay, Rebecca Nixon George Nixon Bedford County On the date of the within written deed roll personally came before md one of the justices of the peace for the county of Bedford, the above named George Nixon and Rebecca his wife, and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed the said Rebecca to be of full age and privately and apart from her said husband by me ___ adknowledged that the executed the same freely and voluntarily without any compullsion of coercion of her said husband.
