Land From Alexander Young to Isaac Bollman Jan 21, 1833 Book Q, pg 557 This Indenture, made the 21st day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three. Between Alexander Young and Mary, his wife of Hopewell Township, Bedford Co and State of PA, of the one part and Isacc Bollman, of the twp county and state aforesaid of the other part whereas by warrant dated the 29th of October one thousand seven hundred and sixty two, George Nixon deceased, became possessed of and well and suffiently entitled to the parcel of land and premises hereinafter mentioned and described and intended to be hereby, conveyed and assured with the apportuances to him and his heirs. And whereas, also by the last Will and Testament in writing of the said George Nixon bearing date the second day of January one thousand eight hundred and six, the said Alexander Young, in right of Mary his wife, became possessed of and with entitled to the same land and premises and to his heirs, by the said will referenced to the same land and premises and to his heirs, or by the said will reference being thereto had will appear........ Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Alexander Young and Mary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and twenty seven dollars and twenty five cents, then in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receit and payment whereof they do hereby acknowledge and do forever discharge the said Isacc Bollman, his heirs and assigns, by these presents, have granted, bargained and sold, released and confirmed, and by these presents, have granted, bargined and sold, released and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell release and confirm unto the said Isaac Bollman, his heirs andassigns, all their right, title and interest, claim and demand whatsoever in and to the land hereditaments and premises above mentioned and receipted by warrant and will as above to wit, seventy eight acres and three quarters which said land is situated in the township of Hopewell aforesaid, bound and described as follows: Beginning at a post in the line of Andrew McDowell, South 25 East 128 perches to a grub by land of said Alexander Young, south 70 west 78 perches to a rock, south 18 west ninety perches to a post by land of David Cipher, North 84 1/2, west 25 perches to stones, and by lands of John Nixon, North nine, west 34 perches to a post by land of Solomon Steel, north 86 1/2 east 34 nine dec to the place of beginning, containing 78 and 3/4 acres and allowance. To have and to Hold all and singular the right, title, interest, claim and demand whatsover of them the said, Alexander Young, and Mary his wife, of and in the land hereditaments and premises to him the said Isaac Bollman, his heirs and assigns against them the said Alexander Young and Mary his wife, and their heirs and against all and every other person claiming or to claim the same premises of any part thereof, under them these presents shall and will warrant and forever defend. In witness whereof, the said parties hereto have interchangeably __________ set their hands and seals the day and year first before written. Signed and Sealed and Delivered before esq John Piper, Lucinda Piper Alexander Young(seal) Mary Young(seal) Received on this day of the date of the within written Indenture, of and from the within named Isaac Bollman, the just and full sum of two hundred and tweny seven dollars and twenty five cents, being the full amount of the consideration money within mentioned to be paid by him to us. witness present Alexander Young John Piper Bedford Co, __Personally appeared before me John Piper, one of the justices of the peace in and for said county Alexander Young and Mary his wife, and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing or conveyance to be their act and decd, She the said Mary having been previously made acquainted with the full contents thereof and examined seperate and a part from her said husband by me did therupon declare that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord seal and as her act and deed deliver the foregoing convenance or deed without any cocercion or compulsion of her said husband. As witness my hand and seal this twenty first day of January A.D. one thousand eight hundred and thirty three.
