TATE, Esq. To LEVI AGNEW "This Indenture made the seventh day of January A.D. One thousand eight hundred and sixty one, Between SAML. H. TATE and VIRGINIA B. TATE his wife of the Borough of Bedford in the County of Bedford State of Pennsylvania of the first part and LEVI AGNEW of the Borough County and State aforesaid of the second part, witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars lawful money to them in hand paid by the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and sold, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, release convey and confirm until the said part of the second part his heirs and assigns all the following described real estate situate in the Borough of Bedford, County and Sate aforesaid viz; all that lot or piece of ground adjoining the Borough of Bedford on West Street, North of John Street being No. 3 of Barclay plan of lots, occupying Sixty feet in front on West Street and extending back two hundred and forty feet to an alley adjoining on the north No. "2" [?] the Seventh No. 4 being the same property conveyed by V. D. BEEGLE wife to the grantor herein by deed dated the 5th day of April A.D. 1860 [?] being there unto had will more fully appear. Together with all and singular the building and improvements, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditatments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging [?] [?] appertaining. We have and to sold, the said premises unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said parties of the first part hereby conveyed and defend the title to Said premises as against themselves their heirs and assigns or any of the person or persons claiming or to claim the same as any part thereof, In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part have herewith set their hands and seal the day and year aforesaid. On the Seventh day of January A.D. 1861 personally appeared before me the undersigned Justice of the Peace in and for said County SAML. H. TATE & Virginia B. TATE his wife named in the foregoing instrument of writing and acknowledged in the same as their act and deed and desire and to be recorded as such. The Said VIRGINIA B. being of legal age with me privately examined separate and apart from her said husband and the full content of said instrument being by me fully made known to her acknowledged that she execute the same freely and voluntarily and without any coercion or compulsion from her said husband.
