26, 1864; discharged May 31, 1865; length of service, 1y 8m 5d.

History of Pennsylvania Volunteers, Vol. 2, p. 237: Samuel Null, Co. G, 56th 
Inf., was drafted and mustered in Sept. 21, 1864 for a one-year term of service.  
Mustered out with Company July 1, 1865.  Recruited in Luzerne Co., Pa.

ARIAS - Pennsylvania Digital State Archives had: Samuel Null, Co. G, 56th Inf., 
enrolled Sept. 26, 1864 (drafted) at Chambersburg, Pa. and was mustered in as a 
Private the same day and place.  He was aged 42.  Discharged May 31, 1865 under 
General Orders.
