When the people began coming in Burger being very much surprised hied to the cornfield but was caught before he got very far, he was brought back to the house with his pantaloons rolled up to his knees, sleeves rolled above the elbows and collar turned in at the neck, ready for whatever came before him. At the midnight hour the table was spread with a beautiful lunch prepared by Mrs. Richey which all done ample justice, all departed to their homes at an early hour wishing Mr. Ritchey many more happy birthdays.
