C. Special to the Tribune Bedford, Aug. 8 - Bedford county's quota of draftees left this morning for Camp Wadsworth, Spartansburg, S. C., to enter training. They were: George E. Martin, Artemas; David E. Thomas, Defiance; Wm. Weinsickle, Rt. 4, Bedford; Samuel E. Kelley and Archibald Miller, Saxton; Karl Luther Besser, Cypher; Herman Roy Northcraft, Flintstone, Md.; Edward H. Price, Rt. 3, Bedford; Edgar Roy O'Neal, Chaneysville; Jos. Scott Croyle, Schellsburg; Harry W. Bloom, Cessna; Harry F. Koontz, Lutzville, Rt. 1; Earl Lorenzo Hoopengardner, Bedford; Jas. Augustus Miller, Cumberland Valley, Carl A. Markle, Clearville; Alva Lewis Sowers, Artemas; Martin J. Seifert, Schellsburg; Ross Roses, Imler; Harvey S. Oldham, Claysburg; Guy Vissel Mock, Baker's Summit; Roy Bennett, Rt. 3, Everett; Harry H. Dibert, Bedford, the latter being in command of the company. A dinner was served the men at the canteen and the usual send-off was accorded them.
