No one thought the end so near until a few days prior to his death. Mr. Blattenberger was a kind and useful man in the community and will be greatly missed. He was a consistent member of the Lutheran church was always ready to perform his duty whenever called upon. He will be greatly missed in the home as he was always kind and pleasant. He leaves a wife, and two children, father and mother, five brothers and two sisters and a host of friends. In the absence of his pastor, the funeral services were conducted in the home by Rev. C. R. Allenbach, of Bedford. The music was in charge of Prof. Koontz of Bedford. Interment in the Fishertown cemetery.
