AMY BRICE DIES AT HOME IN BEDFORD BEDFORD, Jan. 31. - Mrs. Amy (Gilchrist) Brice, wife of former Postmaster William Brice, died at her home on West Penn street, Wednesday afternoon at 3.15 o'clock following an illness of several months. She was aged 56 years. She was the daughter of Franklin P. and Mary (Ernest) Gilchrist) and was born in Bedford on May 1, 1877. She became the bridge of William Brice on May 15, 1901. Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Jean and Wilma Brice, at home, and Betty Brice of Philadelphia; two brothers, Thomas E. Gilchrist of Cumberland, Md., and Raymond V. Gilchrist of Utica, Mich., and three sisters, Mrs. May Burley and Mrs. Clarence Litzenburg of Cumberland, Md., and Miss Annie M. Gilchrist, editor of The "Bedford Inquirer." Mrs. Brice served for a number of years as president of the Pennsylvania State Parent-Teacher association. She was a member of the County Federation of Women and the Bedford Civic club and served on the mothers' assistance board and Children's Aid society.
