GEORGE CARPER,

A well-known farmer residing near Woodbury, died after an illness of 
but a few hours, at 9 o'clock Wednesday night.  The deceased was 55 
years old and is survived by his wife, one son, and two daughters.  The 
children are William Carper, at home; Mrs. George Ott, of near Curry, 
and Mrs. Alice Dilling, of Saxton, Bedford county.
