Bedford, January 19. - After a long illness from paralysis, Mrs. Americus Enfield passed away at 6 o'clock this morning at her home on South Thomas street, at the age of 73 years. Deceased was Miss Rebecca Bruckman, a daughter of the late Dr. I. G. Bruckman, and was born at Salisbury, Somerset county. In 1871 she was united in marriage with Dr. Americus Enfield and for a few years resided at Flintstone, Md., later at Clearville, Bedford county, and for many years at this place, Dr. Enfield being postmaster of Bedford, for several years past. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons and three daughters - Dr. Walter F., Milton S., Misses Fannie and Olive Enfield, all of Bedford; Charles L., of McKeesport, and Miss Mary R., of Washington, D.C. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church of this place, and her pastor, Rev. C. R. Allenbach, will have charge of the funeral services, which will be held at her late home Wednesday afternoon.
