William Foreman, who has been in the employ of the H. & B.T.R.R. Co. for a number of years as track watchman met a horrible death, two miles south of Saxton, about 9 o'clock Tuesday evening, by being run over by Mail south. The engineer says that while he was rounding a curve at the point where the accident happened he observed a man lying across the track a short distance ahead of him, apparently asleep, with his feet on one rail and his head on the other, with his lantern beside him. Every effort was made to stop the train, but the distance was too short, and it struck the unfortunate man, mutilating his body in a frightful manner. His remains were taken back to Saxton where an inquest was held. Foreman had but one arm, was aged about 30 years, and leaves a wife and three small children to mourn his sudden and tragic death.
