Gogley, one of the best known young men in this city, died this morning at four o'clock at the residence of his father, 45 Harrison street, after an illness of about two weeks. He was chief clerk in the clothing store of L. Rosenbaum, where he had been employed for a long time. He was a reliable and painstaking employee and greatly appreciated by his employer as well as having been a general favorite among his associates. He was a prominent member of the Y. M. C. A. He was only twenty four years of age and his death, occurring as it did in the early morning of his life, has caused many expressions of regret. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel T. Gogley, who together with the following brothers and sisters survive: Miss Anna Gogley and Mrs. Lizzie Burke, of this city, and Mrs. Mary Meyers, of Pittsburgh, and Messrs. John and Charles, of this city, and Lawrence, who resides in the west. The deceased was born in Everett, Pa., and moved here with his parents some years ago.--Cumberland Times, January 11.
