MRS. ELSIE GOULD

  Mrs. Elsie Gould, aged 37, of Saxton, died in the Blair Memorial 
hospital [Huntingdon] on Monday morning at 7 o'clock, from an operation 
which was performed on the previous Wednesday.  She was the wife of 
Lester Gould of Saxton, and the daughter of Samuel and Lydia Hirst, of 
Marklesburg.  Surviving beside the husband are two small children, 
Lester and Martha, also the parents and the following brothers, Jacob 
Hirst, of Altoona; William C. Hirst of Portland avenue, Huntingdon; 
Isaiah M. Hirst, of Marklesburg and Joseph Hirst of Schenectady, N.Y.  
Mrs. Gould was a member of the Reformed church.  Funeral services were 
held in the Methodist church at Marklesburg by her pastor, Rev. G. A. 
Bear, of Saxton, at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon.  Interment was made 
in the Union cemetery at Marklesburg.
