She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Taylor and was united in marriage December 26, 1867, to Richard M. Griffith, who preceded her to the spirit world 19 years ago. To this union were born nine children, five of whom died of scarlet fever within a period of 24 days. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Bertha Ickes and Mrs. Della Manges, of Reynoldsdale, Joseph H. Griffith of Fishertown and Lloyd T. Griffith of Osterburg; also by two brothers, Frank Taylor of Bedford and Samuel Taylor of Springhope. The deceased was a consistent member of the Lutheran Church for more than 45 years. She was an earnest Christian, a kind neighbor and a loving mother. Funeral services will be conducted at her late home Saturday morning by her pastor, Rev. J. H.
