The cause of his death was erysipelas. He was born on August 9, 1854, near the present home, his age at the time of his death being forty-five years, five months and twenty-four days. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. P. Wehr, of the Reformed church, of which the deceased was a member for twenty years. Interment was made in the Trinity graveyard on Monday. Eleven years ago decedent was married to Miss Rebecca Sollenerger. His wife and three brothers, Henry, of Mansfield, 0., Jacob and Jonathan, of Friend's Cove, and his mother, who is confined to her room, being past her seventy-ninth birthday, are again made to feel the loss of a loved one. His father and two sisters - Delilah and Rebecca - preceded him to the other shore a number of years ago. The wife has lost a kind husband and the community in which he lived, an obliging neighbor.
