N. A. Stamm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Hyde's life was prolonged for a considerable period of time with the use of a respirator which had been sent to Everett and Bedford county section from Philadelphia in connection with flood relief work. When Hyde's precarious condition became known, on direct orders from Mayor s. Davis Wilson of Philadelphia, the machine was set up at the hospital and used to keep Hyde alive. The man had suffered from a ruptured gastric ulcer and underwent an operation at the hospital. His condition became critical and with the use of the respirator, he was apparently improving until night before last he suffered a severe relapse which ended in his death at 5:30 Friday morning. The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Hyde of Manns Choice and in addition to his parents, surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vesta (Steckman) Hyde, two children, Mildred P. and James C. Hyde, at home; a brother, Reynold, and three sisters, Bertha B., Frances K. and Pauline Hyde. Altoona Mirror, March 27, 1936
