Deceased was a daughter of Henry Shaffer of Napier township, and was united in marriage to William Ickes about 13 years ago. She is survived by her husband and five children, her father, already mentioned, and the following brothers and sisters also survive: John and Quincey Shaffer and Mrs. John Phillips, of Schellsburg, Mrs. Joseph Martin, of New Baltimore, Mrs. Rufus Miller, of Cessna, and Mrs Simon Kinsey, of Helixville. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. A. Hillery, pastor of the Evangelical church at Pleasantville, of which denomination the deceased was a member. Interment was made in the Anderson cemetery near Cessna. The Bedford Gazette, 5/4/1906
