MRS. BERTHA R. ICKES

Aged 83, of Reynoldsville, died at 1.45 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. John Hammer of Reynoldsdale.  She was born in Bedford county, 
Oct. 4, 1868, a daughter of Richard and Sarah (Taylor) Griffith.  Surviving are 
one daughter, Mrs. Hammer; a sister, Mrs. Frank Manges of Reynoldsdale, a 
brother, Lloyd Griffith of Manns Choice; a grandson, Warren Hammer, and a great-
granddaughter.  Her husband, William, died in 1920.  Three sons and two 
daughters also preceded her in death.  Friends are being received at Geisel 
funeral home, Pleasantville.
