ETTA MAE ICKES
 
Wife of George I. Ickes of Osterburg RD, died at 3.15 a.m. today at home. 
Mrs. Ickes was born June 26, 1877, in Osterburg, a daughter of John R. and 
Susanna (Klotz) Imler. She was married Nov. 17, 1898, to Mr. Ickes, who 
survives together with three children, Clarence of Osterburg, Mrs. Ruth 
Wright of Toledo, Ohio, and Howard of Bedford RD 2; six grandchildren, 18 
great-grandchildren and two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Amanda Deffibaugh 
of Osterburg, Mrs. Hattie Allison of Duncansville RD and Elmer of 
Hollidaysburg RD. Fifteen brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Mrs. 
Ickes was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Osterburg, and its Ladies 
Aid Society and the Osterburg Grange. Friends will be received in the Carn 
Funeral Home, Claysburg, after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
