He was born March 23, 1848, and spent his entire life at Alum Bank and vicinity. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Mock Ickes, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Anderson of near Cessna, and Mrs. Elizabeth Hann of near Alum Bank, and the following children: Ross of Reynoldsdale, Walter and Harry, both of Youngstown, O., Mrs. Lemon Claycomb of near Williamsburg, Mrs. Edwin Davis of Milford, Mich., and Mrs. John Morgart of near Windber. Funeral services were conducted Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the Alum Bank Methodist church, in charge of Rev. Daugherty. Interment was made in Pleasantville cemetery.
