IDA RUTH LINDSEY

  Mrs. Ida Ruth Lindsey, 78, of Penn Knoll Village, Everett, died 
Saturday, Oct. 8, 1944, at the village.  She was born July 2, 1916, in 
Pavia, the daughter of Harry and Minnie (Wentz) Shaffer.
  Mrs. Lindsey was a member of Mount Zion United Church of Christ, Pavia, 
where she served as Sunday School teacher, superintendent of Sunday 
School primary department, choir member, Women's Guild secretary and 
youth counselor.  She was also a talented vocalist and pianist and taught 
piano in Pavia for many years.
  Surviving is a brother, George Robert of Pavia.  Friends will be 
received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Edward Blackburn Funeral 
Home, Pleasantville, and noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion United 
Church of Christ, Pavia.
