Following a week's illness from influenza, George Elwood Little died in Blair Memorial hospital, Huntingdon, Friday night from pneumonia. He was taken to the hospital at the beginning of the week and seemed to improve until Friday evening, when he was seized with a sinking spell. He was a son of John H. and Annie Little of Defiance and was born there June 6, 1899. He had been a resident of Tyrone since July of 1917 and was a well known telegraph operator on the Middle division P.R.R. and made his home with Mr. and Mrs. John Delozier of East Tenth street. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. He leaves his parents and these brothers and sisters: John of Harrisburg, Howard of this place, Mrs. Cloyd Weimer of Latrobe, Carrie of Juniata college, Huntingdon, Mary, Dorothy, Kathleen and Louise, at home. Funeral and interment will take place at Defiance today. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, October 21, 1918
