Long, of Baker's Summit, died at 10:15 o'clock Tuesday night at the Nason hospital of diseases incident to old age. The deceased was born at Baker's Summit Feb. 11, 1854, the son of Joseph and Catherine (Pote) Long. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Detwiler, who preceded him to the grave ten years ago. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Ranson Ferry and Harry D. Long of Baker's Summit, and Edgar D. Long of Altoona, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Mock, David P. Long, Franklin P. Long, Charles P. Long, all of Baker's Summit; Jacob P. Long of Loysburg, and John P. Long of Tecumseh, Neb. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren and took much interest in the work of the church. The funeral services will be held this Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Holsinger church.
