SILAS MAY, 95, retired Bedford Co. farmer, died yesterday afternoon in 
the home of Roy Holler, near Buffalo Mills, Bedford Co.  He was born in 
Bedford Co. and was a son of Leonard and Catherine (Yonkon) May.  His 
wife, the former Elizabeth Shierer, died Sept. 1, 1939, at the age of 81 (?).  
He is survived by these children: Mrs. Laura Holler, Cresaptown, Md., 
Harry, Bedford; Theodore, residing in Oregon; George, East Freedom; Mrs. 
Louise Robertson, Akron, O.; Mrs. Stella Deniker, Grove City; Mrs. Sally 
Newman, Salisbury, and John, Boynton.  Funeral services will be conducted 
at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the home of Roy Holler.  Interment will be in Dry 
Ridge Cemetery under the direction of the Zeigler Funeral Home, Hundman.
