He was born in Scotland on Feb. 9, 1855, a son of John and Elizabeth (MacAlpin) McIntyre. He came to this country in 1865 and later engaged in the coal business. Mr. McIntyre was married fifty-eight years ago to Miss Amy Evans in Huntingdon. Surviving are his widow and the following children: Mrs. Bessie Arand and Mrs. William H. Spiker, both of Akron, O., John R. McIntyre of Defiance, Miss Amy Lawton and Ralph G. McIntyre, all at home, and L. E. and Gilbert C. McIntyre, both of Six Mile Run. One brother, James McIntyre of Six Mile Run, also survives. The body may be viewed at the family home. McINTYRE - The funeral of John McIntyre of Six Mile Run will be held from the family home, with services at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, in charge of Rev. F. A. Lawson. McIntyre, a well-known and highly respected citizen of Six Mile Run passed away at his residence on Thursday afternoon, April 28, 1938, at 1:30 o'clock. Death was due to a complication of diseases. He was born in Scotland on February 9, 1855, and was the son of John and Elizabeth (MacAlpin) McIntyre, both deceased. At the time of death Mr. McIntyre was aged 83 years, 2 months and 19 days. He was united in marriage to Amy Evans at Huntingdon in the Spring of 1880. Mr. McIntyre came to the United States in the Spring of 1865, and became affiliated in the coal business with his brother, where he remained until his death. Surviving to mourn his passing are his wife, Mrs. Amy McIntyre, and the following children: Mrs. Bessie Arend, of Akron, Ohio, John B. McIntyre, of Defiance, Amy McIntyre, at home, L. E. McIntyre, of Six Mile Run, Gilbert C. McIntyre, of Six Mile Run, Ralph G. McIntyre, at home, Mrs. William H. Spiker, of Akron, Ohio, and Lawton McIntyre, at home. One brother, James McIntyre, of Six Mile Run, also survives. Funeral services will be held at the McIntyre residence in Six Mile Run on Sunday afternoon, May 1, 1938, at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. F.
