Minnich, widow of the late John G. Minnich, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Salome Jordan, on February 4, after a lingering illness of several months. She was a most estimable lady and arrived at the good old age of eighty years, seven months and twenty-five days. She was a daughter of Michael Reed, Esq., deceased, and was born in Schellsburg, June 11, 1819. She was baptized and reared in the Reformed church, the church of her parents. She was united in marriage to John G. Minnich October 3, 1843, when she united herself with the Lutheran church, of which he was a member. Subsequently he purchased the "Morrison Mansion" and they moved to Bedford, where they subsequently resided. She lived an honored member of her church and was noted for her benevolent and charitable work and had many warm friends in the town and county. Her remains were committed to the grave in the Bedford cemetery, attended by sympathetic friends and relatives, February 6. She left surviving her three sons, Rev. Reed Minnich and Luther, residing in Philadelphia, and Harry, residing in Princeton, Ill., and one daughter, Salome, wife of Frank Jordan, of Bedford. R. I. P Bedford Gazette 2/9/1900
