Bedford, February 28. - Samuel Ott, a well known farmer of Bedford township, died yesterday at his home near Cessna, aged about 72 years. His wife died on January 1. Surviving are several children, of whom two sons, John and Edward Ott, are at home. Deceased is also survived by one brother and one sister, Francis M. Ott, of Everett, and Mrs. Levanda Diehl, of Friend's Cove. Interment will be made on Friday. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday morning, March 1, 1917 Cessna Samuel Ott died at the home of his son, John Ott, Sunday night, of ailments incident to old age. He was born in Friends Cove, October 20, 1840. His wife preceded him to the grave on January 1, 1917. Surviving are one brother, Francis Ott, of Everett; one sister, Mrs. Levanda Diehl, of Friends Cove, and the following children: John and Edgar, at home; Mrs. Trout, of Cortland, N.Y.; Mrs. Clara Wagner, of Claysburg; Harry and William Ott, of Altoona; Charles, of Youngstown, O.; Mrs. Emma Sill, near Bedford. The deceased was a member of the Lutheran church and the funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon at the Messiah Lutheran church by Dr. J. H. Zinn, his pastor, interment in cemetery adjoining.
