Mr. Pick was a retired B & O conductor with 46 years of service. He was born Feb. 15, 1894 in Hyndman, the son of Henry and Minnie (Foot) Pick. On August 11, 1917 he was married to the former Violet J. Miller. She survives along with these six children: Mrs. Eileen C. Geissert, Concord, Calif.; Paul Frederick Pick, York; Robert E. Pick, Norfolk, Va.; Mrs. Elizabeth Ritchey, Harold M. Pick and James H. Pick, Jr., all of Hyndman. A sister, Mrs. Hazel Pick, Hyndman, and 14 grandchildren also survive. The deceased was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Oscar Jordan Post 7375; the American Legion, Cumberland Post 13; Brotherhood of Railrood Trainman, Lodge 440; the B & O Veteran Employees Association, Connellsville Division 6; Hyndman Rod & Gun Club, Hyndman Volunteer Fire Company and a veteran of World War I. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Zeigler Funeral Home of Hyndman, the Rev. Willard White officiating. Interment in the Hyndman Cemetery.
