He was born on May 2, 1892, at Lafayettesville, a son of Harry and Annie (Rininger) Pressel, and spent all his life in the cove, most of the time being engaged in farming. On May 28, 1910, he was united in marriage with Miss Ella Reighard, the ceremony being performed at Martinsburg. The widow and these children survive: Walter and Richard of Woodbury and John, Betty and Genevieve, at home. The father, a resident of Altoona and who at present is seriously ill, also survives, along with these brothers and sisters: Arthur Pressel of Roaring Spring, Della, wife of Homer Harclerode, near Woodbury; Clay Pressel of Hollidaysburg and Lottie, wife of Andrew Brown of Roaring Spring. Mr. Pressel was a member of the Lutheran church, a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows at Woodbury and was a past master of the Woodbury grange. The body may be viewed at the home. PRESSEL - The funeral of Jacob Howard Pressel, residing south of Woodbury, will be held in the Lutheran church at Woodbury on Saturday forenoon at 10 o'clock. The services will be in charge of Rev. Ralph W. Meckley, pastor, assisted by Rev. D. I. Pepple of Woodbury. Interment will follow in the Dry Hill cemetery.
