All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/bedford/ _________________________________________ DEATH INVADES RALEY FAMILY FOUR TIMES IN SINGLE MONTH Death has invaded the family of Albert Raley, a Pennsy freight flagman on the Bedford division and residing at Ellerslie, Md., four times within the last month. Raley, the father of Mrs. James Porter, this city, was the latest victim Monday when he died of heart disease near Claysburg. Raley's son, Daniel, of Bloomington, Md., died late in October at a Cumberland hospital after an attack of hiccoughs, lasting a week. Eight days later the man's wife and daughter-in-law of the flagman, died. Her son, aged 7, expired one week after. Raley, the flagman, was well known on the Bedford division. He leaves a wife and ten children. The funeral will take place this afternoon at Ellerslie and burial at Hyndman will follow. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday Morning, November 23, 1916
