NEW ENTERPRISE ITEMS.

  A very sad and unexpected death occurred at Salemville on Friday 
night.  David Z. Replogle, a young man aged 35 years, 10 months and 15 
days, was the victim who responded to the final summons.  He had been 
sick less than a fortnight of typhoid fever, and his death was a shock 
to the entire community.  He was laid to rest in the New Enterprise 
cemetery on Monday morning.  Prior to the interment appropriate 
services were held over his remains by Elder D. T. Detwiler, assisted 
by Elder C. L. Buck.  He leaves a wife and little son, three brothers 
and two sisters to mourn his untimely death.  The deceased was a member 
of the German Baptist church for a number of years.
