Restley - Schellsburg -- Mrs. Neva M. Restley, 93, of Buena Road, Schellsburg, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Restley was born in Juanita Township on Saturday, June 17, 1916, the daughter of the late Melbourne and Mattie (Wolfe) Boozer. On June 30, 1938, she married Adam F. Restley. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1991. She is survived by daughter, Darlene J., wife of Gary Beltz, Manns Choice; a sister, Pauline Lytle, Schellsburg. She is also survived by two granddaughters: Christine and Rebecca; three great-grandchildren: Amanda, Jadyn and Dalston; and by a number of nieces and nephews. Neva was preceded in death by a daughter, Mattie; granddaughter, Caroline; three sisters: Margaret, Alta Miller, and Mildred Teeter and by seven brothers: Crawford, Harris, Craig, David, Ruthven, John and Ward. She was a member of Pleasantview Mennonite Church. Neva worked as a cook at the Ship Motel for 30 years. She also worked at the Snack Bar at UPMC Bedford Memorial and as a caregiver. Neva enjoyed reading her Bible, doing crossword puzzles and word finds and baking. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family and friends and who will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held at Pleasantview Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, with Pastors David and Laura Wiley, Joe Shawley and Hubert Cagle officiating. Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery. Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg and on Sunday from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the church.
