ELLA RHODES Widow of Daniel Rhodes, who died in 1921, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Schleuter, near Saxton Sunday morning at 2.30 o'clock. While in failing health all winter, she was about her home and attended church until one week ago. Mrs. Rhodes was a daughter of Samuel and Frances (Dordlinger) Rouser and was born at Tipton, Ia., Aug. 31, 1859. Surviving are the daughter with whom she resided and a son, Ralph Rhodes of Saxton, and three grandchildren. She was the mother of Dr. Earl Rhodes, who died July 12, 1940. These brothers and sisters survive: Milton Rouser of Stanwood, Ia., Wayne Rouser and Miss Nancy Rouser of Tipton, Ia., Edgar Rouser of Clarence, Ia., and Mrs. O. J. Spem of Buckingham, Ia. Mrs. Rhodes was a member of the Saxton Reformed church. Friends will be received at the Schleuter home until 10 o'clock Tuesday morning when the body will be taken to the Huff funeral chapel where friends may call. RHODES - Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Rhodes will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the Huff funeral chapel in Saxton in charge of Rev. M. B. Greenawalt. Interment in St. Luke's cemetery near Saxton. Friends will be received at the home of Mrs. Henry Scheluter [sic] near Saxton until 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, then at the Huff funeral chapel until time of the funeral.
