Ridenour of 143 Horner Street, died at Mercy Hospital at 1:30 o'clock this morning, following an operation for ulcer of the stomach. He was admitted to the institution at 7 o'clock last night. When his condition was found to be such that an operation was the last resort was imperative. Funeral services will be held at the Ridenour home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by the Rev. Dr. Earl C. Weaver, of the First United Brethren Church. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Mr. Ridenour was born May 12, 1882 at New Paris, Bedford County, being a son of Thomas and Catherine Ridenour, deceased. He is survived by his widow, who was formerly Miss Margaret Parsons of Mt. Union, PA., and by one daughter, Mrs. Catherine Bray, of 143 Horner Street: also by the following brothers and sisters: Henry M. Ridenour, of 810 Central Avenue; Mrs. Alex Hammer, of 645 Coleman Avenue; Edward, of 70 du Pont Place and George M. Ridenour, of Terra Alto, W. Va. Mr. Ridenour resided at Windber for a number of years before locating in Johnstown five years ago. He had been employed recently as a truck driver for the Galliker Ice Cream Company and was widely known.
