Mae (HEMING) ROSE Bedford Enquirer Mrs. A. Mae ROSE, 71, of Bedford, R.D. 6, died at 7:25 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 1982, in Memorial Hospital of Bedford County. She was born, February 4, 1911, in Bedford Township, a daughter of the late George B. and Mary E. (MILLER) HEMING. On May 10, 1934, she married Russell R. ROSE who survives. Her death ends a marriage union of 47 years. The following children survive: Edward R., married to the former Amelia WENTZ, of Lexington, Va.; Ronald L., married to the former Mildred RITCHEY, of Bedford, R.D. 6; Charles Samuel, married to the former Joyce WESTON, of Fairfield, Pa.; M. Joanne, wife of William FOREMAN, of Bedford, R.D. 6; Dorthy L. wife of David L. DUNCAN, of Bedford, R.D. 2; and Phillis, wife of Thomas COLVIN, of Bedford, R.D. 6. Fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive along with two brothers: Charles D. HEMING, of Bedford, R.D. 6; and Hugh A. HEMING, of Cash Valley Road, Cumberland, Md. she was preceded in death by a son, Roger, who died in 1977, also by four brothers, two sisters, and one great- granddaughter. Mrs. ROSE was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, and a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of the Bedford Valley Senior Citizens and Bedford American Legion Auxiliary.. Mass of the Resurrection; Tuesday, April 13, at 10 a.m. from Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, with Rev. Father Raymond Crosser officiating. Burial in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday evening in the funeral home.
