Arthur ROSE

[Died 25 Feb 1928]

Arthur Rose, of Bedford Valley, died at his home near 
Centerville last Saturday. He was 83 years, 4 months and 25 
days old. He was born and lived all his life in Cumberland, 
now Bedford Valley. While he was feeble yet he was able to 
go around until he contacted blood poison from a cut on the 
toe. He had a son Harry, who died several years ago and Mrs. 
Harry Rose, the widow of the son, took care of him in his 
declining years. He leaves a brother Squire W.H. Rose of 
Centerville and a sister Amanda. Nine grandchildren 
survives; Sherman, Veda, Arthur, Oscar, Grant, William, 
Milton, Dolly and Leona. He was buried Monday afternoon at 
the Bortz Cemetery, funeral conducted by Rev. J.M. Ross, his 
pastor.
