Born in Centerville, he was a son of H. Harry and Lucy (Hook) Rose. He was married to the former Myrtle Elliott, who survives, together with these children: Eugene of Lansdale, Mrs. Genevieve DeLauter of Lantz, Md., and Mrs. Darlene Kegg of Chalfonte, Pa. Eight Grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters, Grant of Detroit, and Oscar, William and Milton, all of Bedford RD 3, Mrs. Grace Hite of Greensburg, Mrs. Veda Imes and Mrs. Dolly Oliver, both of Bedford RD 3, and Mrs. Leona Cessna of Warren, Ohio, also survive. Mr. Rose was a retired boiler-maker for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. He was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church. Burial in the P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Centerville.
