Bedford Gazette, undated clipping

Daniel D. ROSE, 53, died Wednesday morning at this home in 
Bedford after a lengthy illness. Born in Bedford County 
March 21, 1899, he was a son of Jonathan and Lavina (DEVORE) 
ROSE. He was married to the former Zella BLANKLEY, who 
survives. Also surviving are two sons, Daniel, Jr., of 
Pittsburg and John, at home, and the following brothers and 
sisters: Walter, William, Clayton and George, all of 
Bedford; Charles of Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Rachel CARL, 
Bedford Rt. 3, and Flo, of Ohio. Funeral services, Saturday, 
October 12 at 2 p.m. in the Louis Geisel Funeral Home, 
Bedford, with the Rev. R.S. Caldwell officiating. Interment 
will be in the Bedford County Memorial Park cemetery.
