Espy A. ROSE

Espy A. ROSE died Jan. 11, 1948 at his home on Bedford Rt. 
3. He was born in that section Jan. 26, 1871, a son of 
George and Hannah (MCFERREN) ROSE, and married to Anna Maude 
GILLUM. She survives, together with these children: Clyde of 
Big Springs, Neb.; Mrs. Fannie SHAFFER of New Paris; Percy 
and Luther of Bedford; Norman of Schellsburg, RD.; Russell, 
Hosea, and Ralph of Bedford Rt. 3; these brothers: R.E. ROSE 
of Cumberland, Elmer of Bedford Rt. 3, and Luther of 
Kirkland, Wash.; 26 grandchildren and eleven great- 
grandchildren. Mr. ROSE was a member of the Bortz Lutheran 
Church and the Loyal Order of Moose. Funeral services were 
conducted at the Church Wednesday afternoon by his pastor, 
Rev. M. J. Ross, and interment made in the adjoining 
cemetery in charge of Geisel Funeral Home of Bedford.
