Flora Blanche ROSE, 83, of Bedford RD 3, died Saturday, July 
29, 1989 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. She was born May 
13, 1906, in Cumberland Valley Township, the daughter of the 
late William and Mary (ZEMBOWER) HITE. She was preceded in 
death by her husband, Paul E. ROSE, July 29, 1970. Surviving 
are two daughters and two sons: Doris CRONE, Fort Ashby, W. 
Va.; Norma KAUFFMAN, Coldwater Mich.; Dwight ROSE, Bedford 
RD 3, and Donald ROSE, Bedford RD 4. Also surviving are 12 
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a sister, Elva 
ELLIOTT, Greensburg, and a brother, Earl HITE Greensburg. 
Mrs. ROSE was a former employee of the Celanese Fiber 
Corporation and of the Bedford Area School District. She was 
a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church where 
she was organist for many years, a charter member of the 
Centerville Senior Citizens and member of the Rebekah Lodge 
of Centerville. Funeral services: Tuesday, August 1, at 1 
p.m. at the Centerville United Methodist Church with Rev. 
Robert E. Taylor officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery, 
Centerville. The family requests that memorials take the 
form of contributions to the Centerville United Gifts of 
Love Fund.
