Hannah (McFERRAN) ROSE

Mrs. Hanna ROSE, after an illness of several months, died at 
the home of her son, Elmer, in Bedford Valley on March 10, 
in her 83rd year. She was born on May 12, 1848, a daughter 
of John and Susan (HEMING) MCFERRAN, and was married to 
George ROSE, who passed away about 48 years ago. A son, 
Foster, also preceded her in death. Surviving are four sons, 
Elmer and E. A. ROSE of Bedford Valley, Ross of Cumberland 
and Luther I. of Kirkland, Wash.: a brother and two sisters, 
William MCFERRAN of near Buffalo Mills, Mrs. Rachel CLOSE 
and Miss Josie MCFERRAN of Bellville, Ohio. Funeral services 
were held at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon in the Bortz 
Lutheran Church, of which she was a member, Rev. M. J. Ross 
officiating. Interment in the cemetery adjoining.
