ROSE Bedford Inquirer, May 3, 1991 page 3 Harry S. ROSE, 57, of 204 Concord Drive, Bedford, died Sunday, April 28, 1991, in Altoona General Hospital. He was born June 13, 1933, in Cumberland, Md., a son of R. Milton and Mable (FRANTZ) ROSE of Bedford RD 3. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, the former Lois Shinholt MICKEY, whom he married Nov. 4, 1978; three children: Linda, wife of John SUTER, New Paris RD; Larry S. ROSE, New Paris RD; and Leslie D. ROSE, married to the former Joyce A. GRATIS, Frendship Village, Bedford; and these stepchildren: Barbara J., wife of Charles V. McLAUGHLIN, Bedford; John C. MICKEY, married to the former Dorthy MILLER, Bedford; Nancy J. STIFFLER, Hollidaysburg; David H. MICKEY, married to the former Marcia MICKEY, Alma Bank RD 1; Timothy A. MICKEY, married to the former Christi SNYDER, Frederick, Md. In addition, he is survived by 17 grandchildren and one brother, Mervyn C. ROSE, married to the former Sue HOUSEWORTH, Bedford RD 6; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant sister. Mr. ROSE was a member of the Bedford Church of the Brethren. He was a graduate of Bedford High School, Class of 1952; was a member of the Bedford Fire Department No. 1; former secretary-treasurer and present captain of the Bedford Fire Police and Bedford Borough Auxiliary Police. He was a Bedford County Deputy Sheriff, and was the former scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 82. He had been employed at Kennametal for the past 23 years. Funeral services: Wednesday, May 1, at 2 p.m. in the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, with the Rev. Claude Hall officiating. Burial in Bedford County Memorial Park.
