Cumberland Valley Townships, Centerville, September 7th.

Uncle John Rose was called from time to eternity on last 
Thursday. He had lived more than the allotted time for man, 
as he had reached four score years, seven months and ten 
days. Uncle John as he was familiarly called, was a long 
sufferer, but bore his affliction patiently. His body was 
laid to rest on Friday evening. A very large appropriate 
sermon was preached by Rev. H. McClitle.
