Lucy Jane (HOOK) ROSE

Mrs. Lucy Jane ROSE, died May 1 at her home in Bedford 
Valley from a heart condition, superinduced by a fall 
sustained in January. A daughter of George and Elizabeth 
(GORDON) HOOK, she was born in Bedford Valley Nov. 21, 1876, 
and united in marriage with Harry ROSE, who died in 1917. 
Ten children survive: Mrs. Grace M. HITE of Greensburg; Mrs. 
E.R. IMES and Grant ROSE of Detroit; Mrs. Charles CESSNA of 
Canfield O.; Oscar of Bedford; Milton of Cumberland; 
Sherman, William, Arthur and Mrs. Louis OLIVER of Rt. 3 
Bedford; also a brother, Albert HOOK of Rainsburg. Deceased 
was a member of the Bortz Lutheran Church and the Rebekah 
Lodge at Centerville. Funeral services will be conducted 
this afternoon at 2:30 in the Bortz Church by Rev. M. J. 
Ross and interment made in the adjoining cemetery in charge 
of S. Alton Barefoot.
