Luther D. "Sonney" ROSE, 63, of Bedford RD 6, died Thursday, 
Sept. 5, 1996, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.. He was 
born April 22, 1933, in Cumberland Valley Township, a son of 
William Henry and Mamie Alberta "Bert" (ZEMBOWER) ROSE. On 
June 18, 1951, he married Maxine KENDALL, who survives. In 
addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, 
Thomas Allen (husband of the former Sharon KRAUSE), Bedford 
RD 6; a daughter, Annette Arlene (wife of Donald ROSE), 
Friendship Village; four sisters, Edris Lavern BRIDGES of 
Bedford RD 3; Frances Lucille (wife of Carl ELLIOTT), 
Bedford RD 3; Eva Martina (wife of Max ELLIOTT), Bedford RD 
3; Alice Pearl "Polly" NAVE, Bedford RD 3; a brother, 
William Murray ROSE, Cumberland; numerous nieces and nephews 
and four grandchildren.
