Mary L. (WELCH) ROSE

Mrs. Mary L. ROSE, 68, of Osterburg RD 1, died suddenly 
Monday night, December 27, 1971, in Bedford County Memorial 
Hospital, following a short illness. She was born December 
11, 1903, in Bedford, the daughter of the late Samuel and 
Anna (HALL) WELCH. Her husband, Walter ROSE, and stepmother 
Mrs. Ellen NAGLER of Bedford, survive, together with these 
children, Mrs. June NEE of Everett, Edward ROSE of Indiana, 
and Mrs. Barbara ROTH of Harmony RD 1. Nine grandchildren, 
three great grandchildren, a brother, F.C. WELCH of Elwood 
City, and these half brothers and sisters, Joe WELCH of 
Everett RD 1, Mrs. Hazel RIGGS of Bedford RD 1, Mrs. Dora 
CUSTER of Johnstown, and George WELCH of New Mexico, also 
survive. Funeral services: Thursday, December 30, at 2 p.m., 
from the Louis Geisel Funeral Chapel, Bedford, with the Rev. 
Melvin Walper officiating. Burial in the Union Memorial 
Cemetery, Everett RD. Friends will be received in the 
funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, and from 10 
a.m. Thursday until the hour of service.
